From Ornament to Structure - Part 1

18th Century embroidered curtain.

This new collection began with an eighteenth-century furnishing textile. Rather than reproducing its floral motifs, I was drawn to its rich palette of deep blacks, warm browns, golden yellows and soft neutrals. The collection explores how these colours can be translated into contemporary woven structures, creating a dialogue between historical ornament and modern abstraction.
