Berry Tassels

On my daily dog walks, the red berries were beginning to stand out more and more as the skies and daylight began to dim and shorten. I decided to recreate these berries for my cushions.

Red berries for me, are one of winter’s treasures. They look beautiful, add a touch of bright colour to the grey skies and sombre landscape and at the same time they feed the birds.

So I set about wondering how I could make these. Red thread definitely, stalks and tufts at the ends were the components I needed.
