Etta!

Etta - my new passementerie loom.

I have spent some time sorting out the shafts and heddles.

A nice sense of order

A little bling to start with!

I am now the proud owner of a passementerie loom.

I have spent a few years wondering if I could convert a standard loom into a passementerie loom and very nearly did it, when the opportunity arose for me to buy this one.

Up until now I had managed to weave braids on my table top loom. It required a great deal of patience and sticks. It was not ideal but not impossible. See the braids on my cushions in both the Café Society and Winter Wonderland collections. All made on a tabletop.

So now a new chapter has begun in my studio (despite it being arctic up there) and I am so excited to begin working on my new projects.
