Snow and Ice
I think that Winter can be a very visual time of year. It is one of my favourite seasons. You also have the added bonus of Christmas too! - adding sparkle and glitter (any excuse!), to an already magical landscape.
A time of year when the natural world goes into a deep sleep, time for recharging. I like the cold, grey days that usually occur. We rarely get the swathes of snow covered countryside here in Somerset that Scotland experiences. However, sitting by the log burner with a cup of coffee in a comfy chair after a long dog walk is my idea of heaven.
So for my second collection, I have decided to base my weaves on Winter, calling the collection Winter Wonderland. I have used a little artistic license and imagined snow ( a great deal of snow). I have snowballs, (quite a few), red berries and icicles for the glitter opportunity.
The palette is very simple, natural off whites, silver, red and brown.
I really hope that you enjoy this collection.
Warm wishes for a chilly season,
Juliet
